5% of Christmas is all it would take.
The church I attend has for the last couple of years been donating 100% of the Christmas Eve offering to mission work. It is split 50/50 between a program to drill wells in Mozambique and a community service here in St. Louis known as Kingdom House that provides support to 600 local families that make less than $10,000 each year.
Last year we sent each service approximately $37,000. So far in 2011, we’ve completed 5 wells, have 3 underway, and have 9 more approved for work.
This stuff isn’t rocket science.
